Pastoral Council

Home Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council is an advisory body of the parish which exists to support and assist the pastor in the areas of pastoral activity. The mission of the St. Isidore Pastoral Council is to enhance the quality of parish life and pastoral activity by:

  1. Helping the Pastor identify the pastoral needs of the parish.
  2. Assisting in planning pastoral programs
  3. Improving pastoral services
  4. Evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs and services.

As directed by our Bishop, Most Reverend Paul Loverde, our Council will follow the principles enunciated in Bishop Keating’s letter, “A Pastoral Letter on Consultation in the Parish,” dated September 17, 1984. This letter can be found at http://www.ewtn.com/library/bishops/consulat.htm
